Portal now supports TRON
February 12, 2025

We are proud to announce that Portal now supports TRON. The TRON network launched in 2018, completed full decentralization at the end of 2021, and remains a dominant blockchain globally, particularly for stablecoins and payments.
According to Cointelegraph, last year TRON attracted a significant number of new users and increased onchain activity due to stablecoins, in particular USDT. In fact, USDT accounted for almost a third of transactions on the network. Businesses developing stablecoins and payments apps could greatly expand their product offering and potential market share by supporting TRON transactions through Portal.
For those who have already integrated with the Portal API, signing TRON transactions is identical to signing an Etheruem or Solana transaction, with the exception that you need to pass in the Tron-specific RPC URL, chain ID, and method.
If you are new to Portal and want to discuss integrating our wallet-as-a-service infrastructure into your app, please set up a time to chat or try Portal for free by clicking here.
